No. Qalamaly is built for how fees actually move in our markets: cash kiosks, bank-transfer claim verification, challan and receipt PDFs, an append-only ledger, and CSV/bank-statement imports. Online gateways can be added over time.

Every issued document carries a number, a verification code and a QR. Anyone holding it — an employer, a university, the next school — scans it or types the code at our public checker and sees the school’s own record of what was issued. No account, no call to your office. If a document has been altered since you issued it, the check says so.

No. A code on its own confirms only that the document exists, that it still stands, and that it has not been altered — no name, no class, no marks. To see the results themselves the person checking has to enter the student’s date of birth from the document in front of them, which is how we know they are holding it rather than just holding a code.

Nothing stops a document being copied — paper photocopies and PDFs duplicate, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. What changes is that the paper stops being the proof. The record is, and a copy that says something different from the record is visible the moment someone checks.

Staff can add two-factor authentication using any authenticator app, and failed sign-ins are throttled so a stolen password cannot be brute-forced. Support access into a school is read-only by default and always audit-logged, so help never means password sharing.

Yes. Parents and students get a mobile-first portal — balances, invoices and statements, attendance, exam results, assignments and library — separate from the staff workspace.

You ask in plain language — “who is absent in Class 5 today?”, “show me August’s overdue fees” — and it answers from your school’s real records. For anything that changes something, it prepares the work and shows you exactly what will happen; nothing is saved until you confirm.

The site and product start in English, with more languages on the roadmap — Urdu and Hindi are next. Documents carry each school's own branding, so they look right for your school wherever you are.

Getting in takes minutes — a campus is created, its roles are set up and its console opens, with nothing to install and no server to buy. Being live on real records is the longer half: your students, staff, classes and fee structures have to come across from whatever you keep them in today. That part is measured in days, and we do it with you rather than handing you an import screen.

Yes, and it is the part we do with you rather than hand over. Students, guardians, classes, staff and fee structures come across from spreadsheets or from whatever system you are leaving. We check the result against your own numbers — headcounts per class, outstanding balances per family — before anyone starts working in it, because a migration that is 98% right is worse than no migration at all.

Less than you would expect, and we do it by role rather than as a general tour. The office staff who take fees, the teachers who mark attendance and the head who reads the numbers each learn their own part, which is usually a short session each. The people who decide whether a rollout works are the ones using it every day, so they are the ones we train properly.

You reach a person — by email, WhatsApp or a scheduled call — not a ticket queue. We are a small team, so the person who answers is usually the person who can fix it.

Your staff, each according to their role — a teacher sees their classes, an accountant the fees, a parent only their own children. Your records are separated from every other school's, and the assistant is held to exactly the same limits as the person using it. Every change is recorded in an audit log your administrators can read, and anything to do with money, identity or consent stays visible there regardless of your plan. If we ever need to look at your school to help you, that access is deliberate, limited, and written into the same log with our name on it.

The bill has two parts: a fixed monthly fee that keeps your school running on Qalamaly and covers a set number of students, plus a small fee for each student above that number. Nothing else — staff are not charged per seat, and parent and student accounts are free. Each campus carries its own fixed fee, but a group gets one invoice with a line per campus. We quote in your own currency once we know your campuses and student numbers, and there is room to talk about it.
